Great Mikumi National Park Day Trip for those have a limited time and have only day for safari it take 5 hours to drive from Dar es salaam and spent 4 to 6hrs inside the park. Mikumi has a multitude of adventure and excitement for you to sample. Different experience blend to make this park must visit.
The park is famous for Lion, large herds of Elephant ,Buffalo, wildebeest,the largest antelope in the world "Eland" ,Impala, warthogs,zebra,bush back,hippo, crocodile,giraffe,jackal and more than 400 species of birds are present in the park, from the striking turkey sized group hornbill to the tiny sunbirds that hop tamely around the park.
Bateleur eagles are often seen soaring in the intense blue skies and lilac-basted rollers and brilliance to their background. Aquatic birds are found along strategic distributed water pools which make this park endlessly rewarding to birders.
We pick up early morning around 05:00 AM (it’s also possible more early than that to have more time to the park around 0400 AM )will be picked up from your residency/Hotel in Dar Es Salaam to start your trip to Mikumi National Park. We will drive for 2 hours and we have stop to have breakfast at Chalinze and then continue with drive to Mikumi National Park.
When you arrive in Mikumi National Park you will be checked in and then start game drives with the packed lunch boxes that taken within the park restaurant while you still look animal near to the restaurant. It takes up to 6 hours of drive to Mikumi.
Game drives will go on till around 17:00 hours whereby you will start driving back to Dar Es Salaam.
Arrival in Dar Es Salaam at night and we will drop off to your hotel or agreed place.
